This one is probably the single most offensive call I’ve heard. While the call I’ve previously mentioned as #2 on my list has more offenses per minute, this one is just the most blatantly dishonest conversation I’ve heard.
Getting right to the point…the Wisdek sales rep is asked, point- blank, “You’re calling me from Google?” and he replies with one word, “Yes.”
For this offense, Wisdek ranks on the top of my list of dishonest service providers!

I have been suckered into the Wisdek scam and I have lodged complaints with the Canadian Fair Trading. They called my business in Sydney, Australia offering the service and as we had been doing our own campaign that is costly so we had a listen to what they had to say. They gave us a free demo in which a Wisdek generated ad was placed for 24 hours and it showed constantly on top in first position for the demo period. That’s where the scam begins.
So we were impressed and decided to give it a go. We signed for a three month term and the nightmare began.
Monday morning in Sydney, business hours…the ad was not running. Tuesday the ad was running but it wasn’t on top but on the right side varying in position from top to bottom result and even not showing. By the third day it was not showing as guaranteed so we tried to call…no answer, we emailed….no reply. After another day of no replies we finally got through on the phone and asked why we weren’t showing. The lady had told me that the cost for the key word was higher than expected and that technical support was on the job fixing the problem.
Another day passed and no ad displaying as guaranteed. We sent more emails and received auto generated and copy and paste responses saying that their terms in the contract was not guaranteed and any time the ad doesn’t show they offer a “downtime” where they give you extra service after the contract has finished. Finally I got a human reply to an email saying that my ad wasn’t showing in the first 3 days properly and that 12hrs of downtime had been credited to my account.
So far so good???
Within the first week the ad wasn’t showing so I emailed them and said cancel the ad and refund my money as they did not stick to their guarantee and I wanted a full refund. They cancelled the ad within minutes of me sending the email and they offered a 50% refund.
I tried to find out why the ad wasn’t showing and they said it was because my IP address has been recorded by Google and it won’t display the ad as I keep searching from the same IP address. So I told them that other ads were showing and how would Google know that my IP address was for my ad and not display my ad but everyone else’s?
Once again, the silent treatment from Wisdek.
I have resumed my ad for one month as it’s better than 50% return and no ad showing at all but I cancelled the remaining contract. This downtime they offer is a scam. They display your ad on the “more sponsored links” page 2, as if anyone goes there.
If there are any other suckers that have been scammed by Wisdek then complain to Canada’s Office of Consumer Affairs.
Wisdek do not reply to my emails, they don’t call me back and they don’t give a toss about my complaints.
Wisdek have failed to deliver on their guarantee.
Wisdek have failed to respond to complaints.
Wisdek have failed to communicate with the customer.
Wisdek have failed to turn an unhappy customer into a satisfied customer.
Wisdek is a scam. I’ll say it again WISDEK IS A SCAM !!!

Thanks SCBA, recently wisdek also contacted me demonstrating their service. Like you it seemed impressive and I was considering signing up but upon reading your story I’m more skeptical. It’s been a few months since your comments but did they eventually help you out or was it a bad ending.

Wisdek has been calling me for about a week offering me unlimited clicks, top search of Gogle. I owned an adwords management company and im now how Google works. YOU CANT GET UNLIMITED CLICKS FOR A FLAT FEE!! ON THE TOP OF GOOGLE. PERIOD. I can’t believe how this guys haven’t got in trouble yet with all the BS they offer…
Thanks SCBA for saving me a lot of time and money. They have been calling my company for weeks. I finally answered today and it was all sounding good. They place a free ad to demonstrate their abilities, and I arranged to speak with them in a week to continue seeing what they had to offer. However, after reading your experience and many others on the internet, I will not be going ahead with them. Thanks again for taking the time to post.
We have received a few phone calls from potential Wisdek customers who are doing the right thing and researching Wisdek before committing advertising with them. Wisdek have been trying to call us again with the same catch that they represent Google. I told them that if they wanted the business then they’d have to agree to our terms & conditions regarding the ads. All we wanted was for what they promise and if they fail to provide as promised then they don’t get paid. They didn’t call back after that. So they started calling us from another company name with the Google represented ad company front and I told them the story of Wisdek and they sounded so shocked and assured me that they were not like Wisdek and they offered a cheaper rate for the 5 keywords I wanted and it sounded good so I asked them to send me an email with the ad costs in writing. Seeing this email I asked a few questions and received a reply, asked another question every couple of days and received replies straight away then I asked “Are you associated with Wisdek in any way?”
I never heard from them again.
Wisdek are 100% scammers. Now I know there are a few happy customers out there (Wisdek employees pretending to be a happy customer) making good testimonials on forums but there is more bad reviews that outweigh the good so that should be enough to show potential customers that they are a scam.
Do your own market research and find the most used keywords for your business, focus on the main 5 that generate the most searches and do your own campaign with “exact phrase only” choice for the keywords. Some good software for marketing is out there where you can find the average cost per click for a certain keywords and even Google Webmaster tools can help so do it yourself. Don’t target the world unless you need to, just target your service area and don’t have it running between sleeping hours unless you need to. If your spend is $100 per day it will be stretched out over 24 hours but if it’s 9 to 5 then it will show more. I’m sure I don’t have to explain the whole advertising business but some smart choices and your own control over advertising is safer and more reliable.
