Have you gotten a “PowerListings Scan” from Yext in your e-mail? These reports show the so-called “results” of a scan of all of your company’s business listings on various directory sites. But instead of presenting accurate information about where your business is listed or where data is missing, these scans are riddled with errors. The simple truth is that these scans appear to be nothing better than a misleading sales tactic.
Don’t believe me? Check out this video.
See where it’s highlighted. That’s a claim that our Google listing doesn’t exist.
Then see us easily pull up our Google listing. Huh, apparently it does exist…
We then do the same thing with our Whitepages listing.
In short, it seems like these reports are a shady way to convince business owners to sign up for Yext’s PowerListings products by falsely displaying “missing” listings in the free scan. Don’t fall for it!
